PREREQUISITES:

Basic automatic transmission knowledge.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

This 3 hour session will walk attendees through an outlined 8-Step process that will provide the best diagnostic results possible prior to disassembly. This will include the knowledge needed to interpret adaption values the shifting matrix, and properly read any fault codes. With this knowledge, technicians will know how to make a proper diagnosis of the ZF transmission.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

This is a 1.5 hour clinic focused on the skills and information a technician needs to diagnose catalytic converter problems and replace the catalytic converter. Presented by AP Emissions Technologies, leader in aftermarket converter manufacturing.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

In this 2 part and hands on training, the participants will learn how to properly diagnose a repair the Timing Chain system on a Ford S.4L Engine (Ford Expedition 00-14, F-150 02-10, F-250 Super Duty 00-10, F-350 Super Duty 00-10; Lincoln Navigator 05-14) and also the double clutch system on the Powershift Ford transmission (Ford Focus 11-18, Fiesta 11-19)

Diagnosing Steering and Suspension A to Z (sponsored by Driv Garage Gurus) – Friday: 5-8PM

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

This clinic enhances the skills of the professional undercar technician in the areas of mechanical and electronic steering and suspension systems. We discuss proper component inspection procedures on today’s popular suspension and steering systems. Vehicle diagnostic strategies revolving around ride quality and handling issues are a focus with an emphasis on electronic shocks and air springs used on vehicles with ECS (Electronically Controlled Suspension). A description, operation and diagnostic segment on electric steer vehicles is included. Integration of these components within modern day safety systems result in special wheel alignment procedures after ‘hard part’ replacement. We discuss how to perform this service the ‘right way’ to restore proper vehicle handling and control. Calibrating various steering and suspension components after replacement is highlighted.
