In this 2 part and hands on training, the participants will learn how to properly diagnose a repair the Timing Chain system on a Ford S.4L Engine (Ford Expedition 00-14, F-150 02-10, F-250 Super Duty 00-10, F-350 Super Duty 00-10; Lincoln Navigator 05-14) and also the double clutch system on the Powershift Ford transmission (Ford Focus 11-18, Fiesta 11-19)

Since many newer vehicles can have 30 or more onboard computers, this clinic helps technicians understand, identify and diagnose CAN (Controller Area Network) vehicle communication networks. We review network fundamentals to help the technician understand the need, strategy and protocol of CAN.
To aid in diagnostics, various types of network topologies are reviewed and explained. To help pinpoint CAN failures, several electrical circuit integrity test methods are outlined to validate root cause of CAN communication failures. Application of the diagnostic strategies are highlighted through vehicle Case Studies shown throughout this seminar.

The objective of this training is to provide a deeper understanding of the overall TPMS System as it relates to today’s vehicles. We will present the multiple types of sensors available, OE, Aftermarket OER, Programmable, Multi Frequency and Bluetooth, discussing the differences between each.
The discussion will also take a deeper look into the variety of TPMS tools that are available today to check TPMS, perform re-learns, program sensors etc. A demonstration for the variety of commonly used and challenging relearns will be presented. In addition, there will be touch points on the dialogue to use while discussing TPMS to your consumer as related to tire and other related items.
Time will be taken towards the end of the class to allow for class interaction and live questions from the technicians.

Basic Gasoline Fuel Delivery Knowledge
With a brief refresher of fuel delivery basics, this course takes a deep dive into pressure: fuel and electrical.
Classroom instruction takes the technician on a brief overview of gasoline delivery modes, filtration, and amps up the discussion to voltage drop, wiring harness replacement and testing, diagnosing three-phase fuel pumps (BLOC design).
Along with hands-on videos and case studies, this course will give the technician the educational tools to accurately diagnose and repair future fuel-related issues in the bay, the next day.

This clinic is designed to enhance the technician’s ability to perform proper brake service procedures on today’s vehicles utilizing Electronic Brake Control (EBC) systems. We discuss several Active Safety Systems and the operational strategies used on many new vehicles. Included in this technical seminar is an overview of stability control operation and the modern advancements within this safety technology.
Newly mandated braking controls and the impact on vehicle braking performance are reviewed. Special service procedures on the base brake system are outlined. Brake by wire and automatic stop system control inputs and outputs are discussed. Yaw, lateral, accelerometer, wheel speed, active brake booster and brake pressure sensor testing procedures are outlined.
